StoryTelling for New Media

Read: Both “Word Processor” & “The Book to Come” from Paper Machine (Derrida). Remember, spend an hour reading this, if you don’t get thru it in an hour, no worries, I realize it is complex. We will cover it in class, but give it an hour of good faith effort.

Write: A blog post that quotes another blog (similar to Tues. assignment), but this time find an article that can be complicated by referring to Bolter’s and Grusin’s concepts of Remediation/Immediacy/Hypermediacy. (Bonus points for directly quoting Bolter and Grusin.)

Comment: Post a comment to one of your classmates blogs on a post they have written. Make it a thoughtful comment that extends, expands, points to a place they might take their idea further.
