After/Print
The syllabus, or at least the print version, is done. Feel free to download and take a look. This is the “official” version as required by law, but the information here on the site, Reading List, Course Description, etc. is far more up to date.
Also take a look at the Class Project Guidelines as it will give you a sense of the direction of the course.
Class starts Wednesday. Currently it is scheduled for the Mac Lab, but this will probably change, so stay tuned.

Did you consider using the vertical bar “|” in place of the forward slash? Just a thought…
…or no slash/divider at all. The way I read it is “After Print”. Not sure if any mark is necessary unless I’m interpreting it incorrectly.
Being a black and white person….after our discussion in class tonight…..Johns vs. Eisenstien….on the subject of reliability of the printed word in books in regards to what seem to be the historian’s interpretation of the events and affects of the invention of the printing press: How can we rely on either author? I mean, when you have opposing view points, which one is correct? As it was brought up in class, the upper echelon had say over what would be included in books, and it was, it seemed, to always be in their favor. Maybe that’s a different discussion, but how am I to know what real knowledge is if it is dictated by historical interpretations and power?
Here’s a couple of reference sites for those in the Film group. There’s also a link to an online museum…..can’t remember if there is a museum group.
The New Museum’s online presence, Rhizome
http://www.rhizome.org/
collects and preserves new media (digital) artworks. The Auteurs http://www.theauteurs.com/
curates independent and classic films. These examples of online curation house a permanent collection of works that is frequently reinterpreted by guest curators.
