Avoid Site Registration

David Parry bio photo By David Parry

Often when researching on the internet I come across a site which wants me to register to have access to the article I want to read (this happens way too much when trying to read newspaper articles). More often than not this registration is free, they are just collecting emails and data, but annoying (for example the NYTimes-really why do they make me register.) Now I want to read this article, but I don’t want to go to the annoying effort of registering. Enter Bugmenot. Just visit this site, type in the url for which you want access, and abracadabra you get a login and password. What is even better is that if you are using firefox. You can get an extension, so when you are surfing the net, hit a site that needs registration, you just right click (control click) and select bugmenot and you are ready to enter the site. This makes researching so much faster and more pleasant.(Thanks to my brother for this one.)
